Democrats in New Hampshire are amung equally split voters. New Hampshirites of (NH)
have made New Hampshire a Toss-Up (could go either way) state.
In order for Bernie Sanders to become our next U.S. President on January 20, 2017,
he must win at least 270 Electorial Votes in the
General Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Bernie Sanders should to earn the 4 (EVs)
from New Hampshire.
Your order of entry to the United States was 9. Conscidered to be in the New England region. On November 8, 2016. New Hampshire has 4 electoral votes to give. Before you can vote for him in the General Election, he must first become the the Democratic Nominee.
To make Bernie Sanders the Democratic Party nominee, he first needs to win in Primary's and Caucus's across the country. The date for the Semi-Closed Primary for New Hampshire is 2/9/2016. * Dates and primary format are subject to change - The above was last confirmed with the FEC on 8/19/2015
To win in New Hampshire, Bernie needs all New Hampshirites who will be at least 18 years old to properly REGISTER as Democrat of New Hampshire (or meet other specific designation requirements ie: MA ). In New Hampshire you must be 18 by the date of the Primary (2/9/2016). Please do not wait until the 1/30/2016 to be sure you are registered to vote as a Democrat (or meet other specific designation requirements ie: MA )!
Once Bernie is the Democratic Nominee, he will run against the Republican Nominee (and nominees of other parties). The current General Election system requires 270 Electorial College votes. Based upon the 2010 U.S. Census, 4 of them come from New Hampshire. New Hampshire is a WINNER TAKE ALL state which means all 4 go to the winner. Democrats are happy to say New Hampshire (NH) was a "Blue" state in 2012 with the final elcection vote of 5.98% Democrat and 46.4% Republican. Because it was close, we have to work hard to ensure New Hampshire is more strongly Democrat in 2016.
